Test

Today in class we took the test. I didn't know it was gonna cover everything we've learned😂. I thought it's just over the Alexander Era and Hellenistic Culture. So I just studied the last two lesson instead of the whole thing. But i think I didn't do that bad on it, but not so good as well. I'm just really excited for spring break and I'm actually glad that we took the test today but not after the break. Wish you can have a nice spring break.

The day before snow day

Today in class we didn't really get anything done. For some reason Ryan redid his presentation and we did a pull on the Homeric question. The result was 17 yes's and 6 no's. And then we just talked about the snow. I really wish we get a snow day tomorrow!  And then Mr. Schick showed us his driveway and his dogs. Honestly, the dogs are sooooo cute!

Presentation day 3

Today in class we finished presenting all the presentations. Dylan talked about democracy. It was a really good presentation, I could tell he is prepared and he did enough research on the information. I learn that the US is only the 21st democratic country, which is surprising. Then the last group talked about the trireme. I liked it and the trireme they built was really cool, it is really detailed and they must spent a lot of time on it. And then we read the chapter about the spread of the Hellenistic culture. It says how the hellenic culture spread and combined with other cultures and form new cultures. And the influences of Hellenic culture on different concepts.

Presentation day 2

Today in class we continued giving our presentations. First Rafay's group did their presentation. It was really good, they have their words memorized and didn't just read off from the power point. We went after them and I was a little bit nervous but as we finish or presentation I feel like we did great. Te pot is really cute and all of us tried our best.

Presentation day 1

Today in class three groups of people presented their presentation. The first group was about Greek food. They made the dishes and brought them in. The food were really nice especially the spinach pie and the dessert. The second group talked about the warfare in ancient Greek. The things they made were really cool but the presentation was a little bit boring. The third group talked about Olympics. I really liked the topic and the lego they made. We are going to present next class.

Project

Today in class we felt working on our projects. We finished two slides on our power point and worked on the paper and the story to put on the pot. We have to get it done by Monday so we have not much time left.

Working on Our Project

Today in class we kept working on our project. We decided to to meet everyday during lunch to finish the pot cuz we won't have enough time, so we will just do it at home with air dry clay. We also started on the power point about the pot. We did a slide of how was the the ancient greek pottery made and another about whet was the use of them. And i am working on the slide about the importance and the development of the patterns and stories on the pots. And hopefully I will finish it tonight. Grace is working on the essay.

Note on Alexander the Great

Today in class we took note on four pages from the book abo ut  Alexander the great and what he did for the Macedonian empire.  His dad Phillip the second was the previous king of Macedonia. But he was killed at his sister's wedding. Then Alexander became the king. He was young but experienced and strict. He continued his dad's dream of taking over Persia. He took over Persia and many other city-states around it. But then Alexander then disappeared and no one knew where he was then the city caught on fire and the fire is still unknown today.  (My house was out of power yesterday due to the strong wind so I wasn't able to send it yesterday. Can you please don't take points off?)

Project

Today in class we started off by finishing the philosophy video. And then after that, we worked on our project for the rest of the class. We got started on our power point and look for what was the ancient Greek pottery made of and what was the use of it. We also decided what story to put on the pot. We still haven't started on the actual pot because Mr. Gudro seems pretty busy and he had class during our luck mod son we were not able to make it. We will start on it tomorrow.
